I was at the last game When we won 3-1 in 1984, Spain were considered one of the top teams in the world and although we had a high world ranking ourselves because of our world cup qualifying record we were still underdogs. Mctominay is best suited as a box to box midfielder rather than a deep pivot… with Scotland he has 2 solid midfielders behind him and he has the liberty to make direct runs into the box.. something he can't do in a united shirt with Bruno already present… it's a shame his skillset can't be utilized.. if he was better at progressing the ball from deep, he would still be a great asset for united..
