It must feel so daunting when travelling to your next stop over 😬 but all part of the experience, & so glad you finally got a nice meal, that restaurant looks nice 😀 😋 Stay safe & enjoy 😘 Love watching you x

  4. Just a little point about the aires. The service area has an electric machine were you put in a token and it gives you one hour electric. You can buy the tokens at tourist information office. Anywhere there is an aire will have a tourist info office . They are 3euro each. It can be a little annoying if you waiting for water or waste and someone is getting electric. I personally think it should be separate. We arrived at an aire in France and waited for the leavers to do there thing then we moved into the service as we wanted electric for the poweroak. . We connected water first and put the token in. Went and rolled out electric cable and a Belgium chap came over all smiles saying something about electric. We thought he was asking could he go first and was maybe leaving so we made gesture for him to go ahead although we thought it rude. Next thing he gets out a two way adapter and puts his cable and our cable in and then puts his hands in his pockets and smiled at us. He must have been asking if he could share and we would pay. We went and and took all cable out saying we have big batteries and worried it would trip. He just mumbled ok and went to his van and came back with a token. We then had to sit in the service bay for the full hour while he got his electric cause we didn't want to drive over his cable. You get all sorts in this world 🐶🤣

  5. If you ever want to go into a town go in by bus , come out by taxi .. they are cheap , even on the coasts .
Good to see you are getting used to the food .. its cheap to eat out too , I average 8 or 9e

  6. Why can’t you order food? I don’t understand.. most Spanish people speak English.. I’m half Spanish and they are the most helpful people.. but why go to Spain if you’re not going to eat there?? Confused

  7. Dan,Spanish people do tend to speak loudly and very fast,as a normal thing. When we speak with our Son's OH she talks at" ten to the dozen",even in English. Her Family sound like they are arguingmto us, but they are just having a normal conversation. You just get used to it,eventually.Different cultures=different norms.

  8. Come on now Dan. You'll being very old school LOL.

you can use your Google translate to check everything out. You only need a handful of words and phrases to get bye as a tourist.

You can use your Google Maps to look for points of interest in the immediate area so that you can easily find interesting things to at least start exploring And then walking freely around to discover things.

it might be worth your opening an Uber taxi account on your phone. This is really handy when you're travelling around in unfamiliar places.

You can add your card; PayPal or Apple Pay to the Uber account so that you never have to have the money with you. The app will locate where you are as you send for a taxi. It tells you how far away it is and how many minutes it will be to arrive. You don't need to speak to anyone. It's all done through the phone

All drivers are registered. Passengers can give them a star rating which maintains the standards of the driver. Also, prices are fixed and so you can't get ripped off when a driver knows you are a tourist.

So, at times like this, instead of losing an opportunity to travel into the main city, you could spend Some money getting to an interesting place or if you're worried about finding your way back, letting the Uber taxi bring you home again.

Obviously, this will mostly work in the main areas. It does work internationally if Uber is operating in the country that you are in. I have used it in Spain and France without any problems. I had set up my account in England.

Very much worth having even for emergency use only.
Let your hair down Dan the best part of travelling is finding yourself in situations you did not expect (smile).
