  1. The sun is shing here today! Yay! It's been so gloomy here in Boston. Certainly not as beautiful as where you are. I am sewing a Pattern Emporium pattern right now. The Get Zipped A line Skirt. I totally agree in terms of their sizing. Its way too big. I went as small as I could. I don't feel the measurements are accurate. BUT…I do love the instructions and information the pattern provides.

  2. Love your dress!! Been looking for a pattern good enough for ALL the girls in my family for Christmas ~~ SCHOOL, WORK, and at home ~~ and this one fits the bill!! Plus it's easy!! Thank you for showing a pattern company I haven't tried!
Was so glad when you did test stitching before sewing. Been watching Evelyn Wood who did a whole video on testing before sewing and found it really does make the job easier. Before I'd test as I went but testing the whole process helps make up my mind on things before I actually start. And saves the seam ripper!! 👍

  3. I love the dress fabric and the cardigan is amazing. It is a nice rainy day in Valencia, perfect sewing day and I bought a neechi serger. I am so excited and love it so far. I did have to exchange the first one delivered because it was so noisy. I am still dreaming of visiting and having vino someday. Happy sewing.

  4. I have a load of Pattern Emporium patterns, 'cos hey Aussie 🤣 but seriously Kate's attention to detail and the amount you get in one pattern is great. I love the Keep It Simple Babe tee great fit and so far I've done a roll, square, crew and v neck all from the same pattern plus a lot of them are interchangable so sleeves can be mashed to other patterns etc Love that. Your dress looks super comfey and a sweat version for Winter oh yes! Thanks for sharing x

  5. Morning Lisa, your zippered cardy is really nice, looks very cozy. I bought the Lounge dress pattern from Pattern Emporium. Yours looks great on you and thanks for the tips. Looking forward to seeing your jeans. Have a great day. Val❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

  6. You really suit the colour of that dress Lisa. If you had enough fabric left you could make a separate cowl and wear it on cooler days (I’m always wearing scarves so I did that on the LDT – Love Notions – and it makes it a bit more versatile)
What a beautiful place you live. I can see the sea from my kitchen window and I love opening the blinds in the morning to see what the sea looks like each day. Cold, rainy and rough this morning!! 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  7. Lovely to have you and your sewjo back! 😊I love that lounge dress.and pattern with all the options. .. It would be great in a lightweight denim with top stitching around the pockets. And a contrast cowl neck….mmmhhhh🤔

  8. That dress looks adorable on you. So comfy, yet “put together”. Personally, I usually put a center back seam in a dress because it gives a little more stability resulting in less of a chance of bagging out in the rear after sitting. The bonus is that you really can save a little fabric!
