I had a few Springsteen bootlegs back in the day – no idea where they cut the vinyl but the quality on some of them was surprisingly good. Thunder Road was usually a standout regardless of the version he sang on a given night. Bruce really mixed it up back then – changing lyrics and moving between acoustic and electric renditions but if I could go back its the early version of Jungleland that I would have hung onto. Like anything, we cull our possessions every time we move house and that's all she wrote.
