Aarhus Gymnastikforening fans were able to still be in some way present to follow their team’s return to action at Ceres Park on Thursday by live-streaming themselves from home on a giant screen set up in the stadium’s stands.
Hundreds more fans watched the Danish Superliga’s first game since halting play due to the coronavirus outbreak from the comfort of their cars via a drive-in mega screen outside the stadium.
Third-placed Aarhus, who are now 21 points behind leaders FC Midtjylland drew one-one with seventh place Randers F.C. Randers took the lead when midfielder Simon Piesinger scored a wondergoal from more than 45 metres out, before Aarhus equalised in the 90th minute.
