  1. Tyler had to fulfill German health requirements in order to get on his flight to Frankfurt. Once he landed and switched to the Barcelona flight, he’s within the EU ( surprise), and the planes from EU just open right into the concourse at El Prat. My family did exactly this in August

  2. One thing that concerns me is the weather of extremes all over the world. Fires floods, high temperatures, drought, something has to be done by all of us, or we won't have a world to live in.☹

  3. Don’t you just love the way Expansion in their article ignores the real reason WHY we became so reliant on gas from Russia, just like almost every major media outlet does today. The Washington Post is not shy to dig beyond the symptom to find the root cause… and I quote from them on July 22nd 2022.

“Russian gas has been attractive to Europe because it was easy to transport and almost always available. Its importance grew in recent years as some countries moved to end coal and nuclear power generation and production from their own gas fields declined. Russian state-controlled company Gazprom was supplying about a third of all gas consumed in Europe, until the war in Ukraine disrupted supplies and underscored the risk of overdependence on one energy provider.”

You’ll never see that on the BBC or any similarly biased outlet. Just “those naughty Russians switched off the gas”. But we gave them that opportunity, so how did this happen is the question that the Washington post article starts to hint at.

To find root cause about why this dependence became “more important in recent years” there are questions each of us should be asking ourselves if the media are hiding it from us. Many did ask way back and were ignored. Why did we move away from coal and nuclear with such ridiculous urgency in recent years? Why did numerous global commercial companies stop natural gas exploration and new production from fields in Europe reducing home availability (clue to same root cause again, decommitment from gas usage in power generation, heat pumps replacing gas boilers in homes etc) in recent years? There are many more similar questions, but are you getting any closer or did you draw a net zero?

We need to treat the cause not the symptom. We should all make ourselves clear about what is really driving this problem and the associated economic impact which is hitting us all massively today in Europe and other territories. We should demand reparative policy action from our government representatives and vote accordingly – given we can find an option with the current lack of thinking things through from our politicians and being honest about our realistic abilities to drive to a better, greener planet.

They are nearly ready for it though, I don’t see many of them being photographed consulting with poorly educated Swedish school kids any more to build their energy and resultant economic crisis policies. They already know but can’t be made to look like total idiots for doing this until we start letting them know we already know and it’s ok to fix it. The “science” may be settled but the unfortunate and unavoidable outcome of going too far too quick with panic energy policies is only just starting to show its head. People will suffer or die unnecessarily this year choosing to either eat or keep warm, whereas if we were more realistic with our energy policies they could do both, absolutely no doubt about it, no science necessary.

  5. I have been chatting to a Spanish person on Zoom to try and improve my Spanish through "Conversation Exchange".
It is free. You put in your details and you get a list of people you may want to pair up with. It is up to you to contact and arrange a time to chat etc.
I am at the early stages of learning Spanish so pairing up with a Spanish person who speaks English well has worked best for me.
I spoke to some lovely people who were at a similar level in English to my Spanish … but when we got stuck … there was no way to communicate!
    Good luck!

  6. The difference between inflation and price rise is that inflation is the decrease in the value of money, while price rises are the increases in the prices of a commodity.

  7. DOUBLE OR QUIT.
Well if they put their prices up…
    Boycott them….
Extortion.. greed is a trait , equal to ego.. and all those other human inventions…
Slow recovery is better than a quick buck.. a quick win… .. to recover slowly despite the negative political, economic crisis..create longevity and wisdom… some businesses are greed based and not customer based… take the hit . On the chin.. like a man m son.. and DONT EXPECT YOUR NEXT CLIENT TO PAY FOR YOUR LOSSES…..IF YOU DO.. CLOSE THE DOORS AND SELL UP , BECAUS FOLK WILL SEE THOUGH YOUR PLOY.
