  1. Just to set the record straight, as a goalkeeper at that time, i can confirm that it was a legal, though unfortunate tackle. Keepers when jumping for the ball, were allowed to raise our knee and even show pegs as a keeper's guard.

    If not for that rule, hundreds of keepers would be injured by attacking players at every cross or corner.

  2. No wonder why West Germany lost the final. With this kind of attitude, U can win matches but eventually U'll have to pay the price for doing that to someone.
