Hello again folks! Yesterday, my friend Neil and I embarked on the first leg of a Grand Tour that will see us make the 1830 mile flight from Southampton in the UK, to Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands of Spain. Some time ago, a good friend of mine who I worked with for some years and who is a qualified Private Pilot, spoke of his dream to one day fly his wife and children down to Gran Canaria when he retires! So, I got interested in his idea and came up with a flight plan (see below) and now Neil and I will fly it! This flight is the first leg and was flown in real time, in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with real weather and live traffic, so you will see a plethora of other aircraft as well as Neil and I in the two Cessna 172’s.
